Xiu Xiu has got to be in the running for Band Champion of the Year. Just two people on stage making a hell of a lot of amazingness while handling multiple, disparate instruments including a sampler, harmonium, mandolin, a snare drum, multiple cymbals & some sort of gamelan apparatus (gongs or bells, I couldn't see), all over some prerecorded beats. If you hate some-might-find-it-annoying singing, you'd hate it but these things happen.

You'd have hated Frog Eyes, too. They were good & not just because they have one guy who looks like David Cross plus two guys who look like people I know (Christian Brandt & Jeremy Lemos). Please keep in mind that I badly need new glasses. I have no visual referent for the drummer. They are from Canada.
