Can I add another thing to my list of things?
11. Leica envy. I've already had M6 on the brain for a while but now...I don't when I'm going to buy a digital camera but damn! The Leica Digilux 2. Yeah.
I don't know much about what makes Leica's so special aside from the fact that so many of my favorite photographers used them. But $2500 for the camera body. Jeesh! It makes me want it more.
I used to like to visit the Leica gallery in NY, where I would pretend to be shopping for a camera, but just end up buying a t-shirt and then take a million pamphlets.
That Brian Ulrich is amazing. I'd never heard of him before.
p.s. have you seen this: http://www.rion.nu/nyc/ ? it makes me want to puke on so many levels (hatred of apple computers, the apple soho store, nyc 'fotobloggers' with their shitty Intro to Photo style digital pictures, etc. etc.) and then, inevitably, there's the whole jealousy factor.
