now that i live in tokyo, the only thing i miss about chicago are...

well okay. three things. the columbian steak house on lincoln... what's it called? where they serve the meat on the cutting board.

and the cheap polish diners along the milwaukee corridor, especially in wintertime.

and dogs. i have dreams about chicago dogs. in one particularly memorable one i payed a guy like $60 to fed-ex me one.

oh and i miss italian beef. well, a combo really. i with the sausage and the beef and the cheese and the sauce and the peppers. after one of those you don't have to eat for like three days.

okay. so four things. but really. its the dogs. that is the like the gateway meat.

Gateway meat? Hilarious. Hot dogs have always been my #1. Always & forever. Polish diners, Greek diners, any kind of diner. My heart misses the Busy Bee on Damen the most, one of the last pieces of old Wicker Park. I ate there 7 times the last week they were open. Almost every time I had the meatloaf. Yum.
