Speak, See, Remember

William Eggleston shares a BBQ lunch with Juergen Teller.

On no other 'photoblog' would you see a photo like the one above besides Christian Patterson's.

Wow, Mary and Christian Patterson really shamed you with their excellent photo blogs. I love the idea of really talented photographers getting into the photo blog thing. In NY, there were so many assholes with their digital cameras snapping away the same pictures thinking they were the man (sadly, I have to lump myself in this catagory).
I saw that David Russell trailer yesterday when I saw Wicker Park (excellent!) and have some misgivings, even though I think he's a genius. The whole thing seemed a little too much. Like it's this new genre of movie characterized by Wes Anderson/NapoleonDynamite/etc. with heavy Urban Outfitter appeal/tie-in. I did love that bit of motion graphics where the image breaks up into tiles and collapses. But ultimately, I'm more exctied about that Cell Phone thriller.

*cough* *cough*
Wicker Park?

Did you mean to put that movie title and "excellent" in the same sentence? Perhaps your fingers missed a period somewhere whilst typing.

http://www.alecsoth.com/Mississippi/pages/29_30.html Mr. Eggleston spends a lot of time these days sitting for portraits, eh? or at least giving of his guru-time to younger generations who head his way in a photo-guy pilgrimage.

sorry about you're shattered bones, rob. nice to have you out east , though . . .

by the way, where were you for noah's smashing birthday party? b/c i ventured out mid-west ways for that, all jet-lagged from a week of no sleep at the Arles festival, thought i'd see you in the house of noah and jill, but: no you.
