I have a class called Graduate Seminar where all we do is go look at art & talk to artists & curators & it's really great. It's pretty Art School. Today we visited the Rose Museum at Brandeis University, talked to curator Raphaela Platow & looked at work by Yun-Fei Ji, Francisco Clemente & William Kentridge. All three worth checking.
Also, on the internet today I came across the work of Oliver Sieber, who makes mostly straight-forward portraits in a very German, Thomas Ruff-kind of way plus pictures of empty band practice spaces. Hooray for Dusseldorf!
