Fairly crushing photo essay about the children of Hurricane Katrina in today's Times Magazine by Brenda Ann Kenneally.

Fairly tame photos in the Style Magazine, incl. a couple of by Thomas Struth. The good stuff includes features on Mariko Mori & Alex Katz's wife & muse, Ada. I can't find the article on the website but this is the book Yale Press is publishing.

Our beardcore band never really got off the ground. Limited audiophile pressing of "Drama in Slow Motion" on 240gm vinyl to remain unreleased, domestically or abroad. I blame it on my half-Asian, kung fu beard quality. I'm sorry I let you down.

I know you know that the Times Sunday magazine has its share of fine photography but what of Play, the sports quarterly (?)? It has it going on as well. No slack on the written word neither. This day's issue features an appreciation of Roger Federer by our favorite, David Foster Wallace. The regular also has a spot on Outkast & a few photos of Lebanon, incl. a stunning opener of a bombed bridge, by Simon Norfolk.
