I finished Kingsley Amis' Lucky Jim last night after a couple of weeks of right-before-bed reading & even though I couldn't stop my brain from guessing the ending I still enjoyed the dang out of it. I Laughed Out Loud many times.
Relatedly (I know it doesn't sound like a word but it is one), I found this book in a tall stack of unreads in our new, smaller apartment after spending a week or two fretting about getting a used copy so I could read it. We bought it, along with maybe 30 other books, on the last morning of a library sale in SW Chicago where a large paper bagful set you back $5 American. Also, my cousin Mike got married that weekend.

Our new friend Rebecca has a weblog called manna from brooklyn. Go there.
